If the Shoe Fits

At the end of last class we were asked to find a shoe, but not a special shoe, because it wasn't going to remain a shoe, we had to take it apart, bit by bit and try and salvage as much of the shoe as possible and then bring in all the pieces to class.

This is the last project before mid semester assessment and it was very open ended. We just had to make an object using as much of the shoe as possible. For the G & S students it had to be wearable but i have decided to make mine wearable too. It was suggested that we construct the object around themes and methods that we are interested in. I am really interested in the constant battle and intertwining of the organic, natural world and the man made, industrial world. So far so good.
